The Scripting Games are a special event put on by the Microsoft scripting guys. Script submissions, grading, and script archives are hosted by PoshCode.org. You may want to check out the Official Rules, and the Scripting Games Information page for event information and contest details, since this site is purely for submitting your contest entry!

Remember: You will not be able to see other user's scripts until after the deadline for an event has passed, and you will not be able to submit scripts for an event once that event has passed.

    Finds all files in the Directory provided. The Script will write the following information to a CSV File: Name of the File Found - Name Size of the File Found - File Size in (bytes) When the File was last written to = LastWriteTime After the process finishes it will open the CSV File, provided Excel is installed.

    The script creates a cmdlet that accepts two parameters: an export and file path(s). The files in the specified folders are enumerated and exported to a CSV file. The CSV file is then automatically opened with MS Excel.

    The default script will recursively search the c:\scripts directory, and output that information to c:\scripts\filesize.csv. The script will then open up the CSV file in EXCEL. (I didn't want to assume what version of EXCEL people would be using so I added a wildcard to EXCEL.EXE's path. I've tested this with Office 2003 and Office 2010 but not Office viewer.)

    This function list all files in a folder and logs some informations in a unicode CSV file. Target folder [Path] and output file path [CsvPath] are MANDATORY parameters. The following informations are logged by default : Name, Size and Last write time, but other properties can be specified with parameter [Property]. The CSV file can be automatically opened with the switch [Open]. It launch the application associated with CSV.

    This script allows a user to user a Windows form to load a graphical image and display a preview of it on the screen. The script will also display some of the EXIF metadata about the image. (Currently, only the make and model of the camera that took the image.) The user can click on the "Prepare to Share" button to remove the EXIF data and save a copy of the image. The user can choose what directory and what filename to give the new image, but a default filename is suggested for the user.

    Powershell checks the specified folder and reports on the files that are stored there. The report contains the Name, Length, and LastWriteTime of each file. This information is then saved to a CSV File and Powershell automatically opens it via the Invoke-Item cmdlet.

    The script finds the child items of the current or specified directory and exports it to a CSV. Code line to let the Function do parameters is included and commented out.
